Squad = one striker

Spurs squad is lacking even their first team is looking a bit dodgy playing dier as first choice dm

Excluding Oxford, Hendrie, Cullen and Samuelson we have a 20 man first team squad

I don't like comparing except against ourselves and our squad depth is beyond anything I've know

Think we now have a similar kind of depth to Spurs and I don't think they have many players that would breeze I to our first team. Kane, Erikson and Loris? That's about it I would think. With them in Europa league I think we may see us finishing above them.

I remember same discussion before Christmas last season when we were flying high. The thread asked which Spurs players would get in our side and there were loads of responses suggesting only 2/3.

If that was the case then they wouldn't have finished wth significantly more points then us. This season should be closer but I'd be very surprised if we finish above them.

In short no, we don't have a better team than Tottenham.

Not sure that Noble is better than Mason.

Overall they've a better squad but the first teams are a lot closer. It'll take a few years but we WILL eventually be bigger than them and the know it.

Aside from Eriksen, Kane and Lloris who would get in most teams our 1st XIs are fairly even.

Spurs 2nd XI would smash ours though and their squad strength keeps them above us.

Let's have a bit of perspective gents. This time last week WHO was going into meltdown after two straight home defeats against 'lesser' teams.

There's not much between the two squads. The gap has definitely been closed though. Injuries are likely to seperate where we both finish as much as anything. Having said that, I don't think we're particularly weak in any area of the field squad-wise, but if Kane and Eriksen get injured, they're fucked.

Talking of Eriksen, I'd take him off them in a flash. Superb player.

I've never known a team to have as much luck in one season them them cunts last year.

We totally outplayed them home and away and ended up with 1 point.

A last minute free kick which took a massive deflection to beat Villa.

Loads of others that I can't think of off the top of my head.

I can't fucking wait to overtake these massive shitcunts

A bit of an exaggeration there Jibbers.

A lot of sensible people could see that relying on Sakho with his arrests and injury problems; Andy Carroll with his injuries; Valencia with his low scoring and injuries; Zarate with his unproven record and injuries; Lanzini unproven together with Maiga, Nolan, Jarvis and JOB as part of the squad was a recipe for disaster unlike the 'promised land' our owners had been talking about.

Even our win at Liverpool hid the fact that 6 of our 7 subs were kids. That has now changed quite considerably with Song back and forward options of Jelavic, Moses and Antonio plus Lanzini starting to come good.

I think we can now see that WH has improved immensely and Tottenham seem to have fallen away a bit. One thing I am certain of is that WH will be a close match for Tottenham in the future...

I think we'll be above them at Christmas. They'll see their position as an underachievement and buy big in January, whereas we'll think we've done enough to take us over the line into the Olympic Stadium. Then we'll get a couple of injuries, our European heroes will tire, and our season will come crashing down again.
